The countdown to the Oscars is becoming more pressing, and not a week goes by where there are no red carpets or social events. But the highlight of the week was the lunch organized by the Academy Awards with all its appointed guests exactly one month before the award ceremony.

Nice and sunny as always was Emma Stone, in her full skirt/sweater signed by Michael Kors: the girl, you know, likes to break the rules, but she can not give in to the charms of a pair of Christian Louboutin stilettos. Informal and colorful was Marion Cotillard: the beautiful French actress utilized all the contrasting colors of her Dior Couture, like shoes. Accessories were nonexistent, except for the bag, but if you wear a Dior do you really need anything else?

Ethereal in their total white looks were the new blondes of America: Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon. A simple and straightforward dress for the Witherspoon, dressed in Giambattista Valli Pre Fall 2015, and a more enveloping and soft look for the Pike, dressed in a romantic Vionnet.

Bold as ever was Julianne Moore, who decided to ride the trend this year to bring at least once a dress of the same color of the red carpet: the top and skirt signed by Prabal Gurung paid homage to the actress of extraordinary talent … but maybe there was already too much red?

Felicity Jones stays true to Dior, perhaps hoping to have the same luck that Jennifer Lawrence had wearing the clothes of this fashion house, but it fell apart: the colors of her dress were charming, but it was a shame that the lines did not enhance her figure, and Jimmy Choo at her feet were beautiful, but not just from the red carpet.

Mila Kunis bewitched everyone at the premiere for her latest film output, “Jupiter Ascending”, wearing the clothes of a queen on the big screen. Mila is left to influence for the red carpet, wearing a royal look signed by Dolce e Gabbana, and even her very sensual Louboutins were in tune with the rest.

The worst and the best look of the week were seen at G’Day LA. The scepter of the worst dressed is Nicole Kidman. The Altuzarra dress was too black and worked, and did not do justice to the naturally elegant appearance of the actress. Rejected.

The best look of the week goes to Scarlett Johansson with a look signed by Preen, and reminded us of the grit of her character in the series “The Avengers”, the Black Widow. Note the inches heel shoes signed by Sophia Webster were needed, given that Scarlett had to reward a “demi-god” as Chris Hemsworth/Thor.
