The ancient Japanese art of origami has always fascinated us all.

For the Japanese people, paper has always had a very important and deep significance because of the fact that water can create rice, and from this we derive fibers for the production of paper, which has an otherworldly meaning for them.

In Japanese culture, the choice of paper has always been very important especially for its ability to be machined and folded into new forms. Even today the origami are used to adorn the cups of sake during ceremonies such as a Shinto wedding, as a wish for happiness.

Even designers often have appreciated this art by using it in their collections. To take just one example, Berluti luxury male brand has based an entire collection on origami.

Several exhibitions have also been devoted to this art and one of the most important is that which is held in Freiburg (Germany) every year since 2006 and this year the tenth edition is held from the 13th to 15th of November 2015.

Besides being an exhibition, it is also a way to bring together many masters of origami that will teach this wonderful art and for 2015 there will be special guests in Italy with the “Conference of Italian Origami, Dynamics Educational and Teaching” (Italian Folding Didactic Conference).
