Yesterday’s funeral was held in the Cathedral of Seville in the presence of more than 2000 people, after nearly 80,000 people had visited the coffin.
Named the most noble woman of the world, María del RosarioCayetana Fitz-James Stuart, could boast among its ascending royalty and nobility rank.
She held forty noble titles, including Duchess and Marchioness, Countess, and Grandee of Spain. This noble woman was also a descendant of James II of England. Among its privileges as Duchess, Cayetana also boasted exemption of bowing to the Queen of England, an exception for few.
The rich heritage will arouse a trail of gossip even though most of the assets have already been distributed by the Duchess between the children at the wedding with Diez, in order to avoid misunderstandings in the family. Of course her husband, the Duke of Alba, would welcome our condolences and thoughts during this time of grief.
