Sta per concludersi la parabola del brand emiliano Guru, che nei primi anni del 2000 ha riscosso molto successo in ambito internazionale. Guru, creato nel 1999 da Matteo Crambi, si afferma molto velocemente e ben presto figura tra gli sponsor di Renault in Formula Uno, mentre cresce il numero dei negozi in tutto il mondo e grandi volti dello spettacolo fanno da testimonial.
Nel 2008, quest’ascesa viene interrotta dalla bancarotta dell’azienda, che porta anche all’arresto di Matteo Crambi, per bancarotta fraudolenta. La società viene così acquisita nello stesso anno dal colosso indiano Bombay Rayon Fashion Limited, con l’obiettivo di un rilancio del marchio della margherita.
Nonostante gli sforzi e gli investimenti, a causa del sovraindebitamento, per la Guru sembra non esserci alcuna speranza. Anche un ulteriore acquisto da parte di altre società sembra ormai un’ipotesi remota.
Il Tribunale di Parma ha già approvato la richiesta di concordato preventivo, che prevede da parte della società il pagamento di una frazione dei debiti ai creditori chirografari. Non resta che attendere quale sarà l’esito della convocazione dei creditori, prevista per il prossimo 4 Febbraio 2015.

Guru in the early 2000s was a great success at the international level. Guru was created in 1999 by Matteo Crambi and thereafter received much success. The brand enters one of the sponsors of Renault in Formula One, a growing number of stores around the world, famous faces of the show were the testimonial.
Soon, namely in 2008, this ascent was interrupted by the bankruptcy of the company, which also lead to the arrest in the same year of Matteo Crambi, due to fraudulent bankruptcy. The company is well captured in the same year by the Indian giant Bombay Rayon Fashion Limited, with the aim of a brand relaunch. Despite the efforts and investments, unfortunately there seems to be no hope for Guru due to over-indebtedness. Even a further purchase by other companies now seems a remote hypothesis.
The Court of Parma (Italy) has already approved the request for an arrangement with creditors, which includes part of the company to pay a fraction of the debts to unsecured creditors. We have to wait until we know the outcome of the meeting of creditors, scheduled for February 4th.
