This year’s London Fashion Week had a great absence in its calendar: Tom Ford.

The brand founded by the famous Texan designer fact paraded last Friday night in Los Angeles with his autumn-winter collection 2015-16 among an audience full of celebrities (270 celebs out of 500 guests).

Attending the parade and after, after party, there were stars like Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Anjelica Huston, Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez, Amy Adams, Fergie, and Magic Johnson.

All customers and fans of Tom Ford who has renounced the public press and ordinary buyers present at every fashion week to prefer, to coincide with the Oscars, a star-studded audience. A winning move? Surely, being a very exclusive brand, focused on a very elite clientele and being recognized around the world for the red carpet gowns from a thousand and one nights.

On a runway covered with white rose petals, Ford presents for next season a vision of the ’70s.

Black dominates the collection, denim is transformed into an exclusive material to be combined with multi-color prints, fur with denim effect or with animal print are the object of seduction, the cocktail dresses are romantic and provocative and, for the evening or the red carpet, fringe is a must.

Fascinating in the collection is the sense of opulence and wealth that is exalted to the extreme: from the production of the same show (mid-show, when the part of evening dresses began, rose petals began to fall, and this lasted for about six minutes!), the models, all current top models such as Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and Joan Smalls, who embodied and represented the collection with sensuality, strength and audacity, the clothes themselves where were gorgeous to the nth degree.

An insult to injury? Certainly, but also a win-win to confirm the stylistic and commercial identity of the brand.
